Vegas Strong

5 years ago on this very day Vegas had one of the worst tragedy that happen in the city. For some of you that doesn't know what happen. The Route 91 shooting happened. What is it, a gun man from the top floor of Mandalay Bay opened fire on concert goers at The Route 91 Festival. 58 people had fallen from this tragedy. This was a little close to me cause I had family and friends that was attending and working the festival. As shots rang out chaos broke out, people was diving for cover. I don't mean for this to be a sad blog but this is a day we will never forget. The stories I have heard from people and how it changed there lives made me think about mines. We are Vegas Strong and will  keep moving forwards. Please take a moment on this day to honor the innocent people that lost there lives at Route 91, and remember we are Vegas Strong.

  8. I wasn't living in Las Vegas at the time, but the news did ring out to pretty much all the United States, if not the entire world. It was a sad day and should be remembered for all those who lost their lives. May they continue to rest in peace. For those who survived, may the healing process continue. Thank you Brian for your post!

  10. Ah yes, I remember the shooting. I was actually not too far from where it happened. I lived closer to the strip and all I heard throughout the night were the echoes of police sirens. My heart goes out to those who have lost a loved one in the shooting.

  11. The news traveled fast and I was very confused and speechless that night. I had out-of-state friends asking me if I was okay and safe even though I didn't attend the festival, and everything just felt surreal because it was only my 3rd month living in Vegas at the time.

  14. I still can not believe this happened.... I was at Mandalay Bay when it happened, visiting my sister at her work at the time. I remember being rushed to hide in the store, so we hid in the back office with her and her coworkers, and blocked the door with boxes. It was a terrifying, surreal, and devastating night.
